Webinar: Training & Coaching for Greater Performance
Salaam and Greetings,
Below is an invite to a free Web Seminar (Webinar).
In my 20 years in Training and Development in various industries, I find a couple of things in common:
· Employees say, their managers are not good bosses.
· Managers say, their staffs are not good staffs.
The essence of it all is that, one finger is pointing to the other party for incompetency. However, I believe, “it takes one, to know one”.
In this blog I ran a poll. I posed, “Do you think, today's managers have the necessary knowledge, skills and mindset to be able to retain and develop their people?”
Only 29 people responded. Two people said Yes. 11 people said No. 15 people said Not sure.
I am not here to discuss and analyze the poll, but enough to show that almost 90% of respondents do not think highly of their managers, or probably that they are measuring their managers on a different or wrong expectations. Back to the “pointing finger” thingy.
I am a firm believer and passionate about developing people. Both Professional, and Personal Development. Years ago, organizational training and development activities are primarily focused on work related areas. However, in recent years, more and more companies have come to realize that, what affects you personally and privately, affects you professionally at work, and vice versa. Research has shown there is a high correlation between personal and professional lives.
This Webinar is one of many with the premise, managers / leaders need to take ownership of their people and take ownership to develop themselves so that they know how to take care of their people. Enjoy. The webinar is free. It doesn’t get any cheaper than free.
Wasalaam and regards
